They produced their first wine in 1999 using the Castro Ventosa facilities thanks to Raul Perez until they had their small winery in Villafranca del Bierzo
but singed apple wood and iron notes on the finish give this the cut and definition it needs for balance
A smoky nose is composed mostly by notes of essence of pear and acacia blossom
all wrapped in a classy and very pure finish of exceptional length
Slight hint of apple skins
Sylvain Pataille, Marsannay Montagne Vintage:2019 They produced their first wine(100% whole clusters). Super fresh and cool red berry aromas cut with discreet earth scents give way to intense and detailed middleweight flavors that flash good minerality on the youthfully austere if somewhat short and awkward finish. This may better harmonize but its a bit disjointed today.
